ID Cards to cost £5bn over 10 years 29/10/2006

NuLab’s identity card scheme will cost £5.4 billion to set up and operate over the next ten years according to the Home Office. The Third Way is vehemently opposed to the scheme alongside many others concerned at a further erosion of our civil liberties and unconvinced by spin regarding terrorism and crime reduction.
