US Zionists push for war on Syria

AIPAC Zionists want US troops to fight for Israel

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) has called for members of Congress to vote in favor of a resolution giving President Barack Obama express authority to launch strikes against Syria. AIPAC, the biggest Zionist lobby group in the United Sates had previously maintained a public silence on the issue. AIPAC changed this by issuing the following statement:

“AIPAC urges Congress to grant the president the authority he has requested to protect America’s national security interests and dissuade the Syrian regime’s further use of unconventional weapons. The civilized world cannot tolerate the use of these barbaric weapons, particularly against an innocent civilian population including hundreds of children,”

The  statement was released on Tuesday afternoon. “Simply put, barbarism on a mass scale must not be given a free pass.”

The statement does not give any actual evidence of use of chemical weapons on the part of the Syrian armed forces. The Syrian government has denied involvement in the attack and pointed the finger at rebel Muslim extremists.

Many observers believe that the statement from AIPAC indicates that they feared the vote for war might be lost. The Zionists have calculated that without their explicit and public backing the president will be unable to win the necessary votes.

The word “Israel” appears nowhere in the text of the statement, underscoring by omission the concern Zionist groups in the United States have about framing their support for military aggression in a way that makes it look like Israel is pushing for an attack on Syria for its own interests. Of course, that is in fact precisely what they are doing under a fake “humanitarian” concern.
