The English – April Fools?

Prescription charges in Scotland were cut by 25 per cent on April 1 as the first step towards abolishing the ‘tax on ill-health’. The charges will be phased out by 2011. The cut takes prescription fees from £6.85 to £5. On the same day charges in England rose to £7.10. The Welsh Assembly scrapped prescription charges last year. April fools?
